Christ Central of Southern California is seeking an Education Director to oversee its Fullerton Campus Education Department of about 120+ children consisting of newborn babies to high school students. This is a part-time position, directly reporting to the Session Pastor, accountable to the Executive Director of Operations and the Session, and is supported by our Education Staff (Nursery Coordinator, Preschool Coordinator, Children’s Ministry Director and Youth Ministry Director), Administrative/Operational Staff and several key volunteer leaders.

-Shepherd Education Staff and Volunteer Staff
-Oversee Education Staff (similar to a school principal)
-Frequent communication with parents – both face to face and via social media/email
-Liaison between Staff, Session, parents, and other ministries
-Ensure that all Education Ministries run smoothly, including periodically teaching age appropriate gospel-centered sermons to each ministry
-Oversee the implementation of gospel-centered curriculum to each Education Ministry
-Provide Christian parenting resources, training, seminar, classes and meetings
-Collaborate with Pastors, Staff and other ministry leaders
-Provide leadership and direction for all Education Ministry services and events
-Review, implement and follow all church and ministry policies and procedures
-Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings, staff retreat and other meetings and events as requested

-Excellence and experience in caring for children and parents consistent with the gospel
-Proactive and strategic planning and administration over children’s programs
-Knowledge of Christ-centered, age-appropriate Christian education
-Graduate training or degree in Christian Education or related field, strongly preferred
-Supervisory experience a plus
-Completed Live Scan and CPR certified (if the candidate has not completed Live Scan and/or is CPR certified, we will provide resources for candidate to do so)
