Education Pastor

Pathways is looking for a Next Generation Pastor who can provide spiritual development, staff training and work seamlessly with our children’s and youth ministries.

Responsibilities of the children’s ministry (PreKinder-5th) would include but not limited to:

• Choosing Sunday School curriculum and oversee Sunday programs by preparing lessons each week
• Providing materials and supports for teachers each week
• Disciple, train, and support volunteer staff of Youth & Children’s Ministry
• Creating worship slide for each week
• Leading & coordinating the full cycle of VBS (Planning, Preparing, Completing, Surveying)
• Creating a program/presentation for the congregation on Mother’s Day, Easter, Graduation, Father’s Day, Volunteer Appreciation and Christmas
• Having parent communication in person, text, or email
• Leading meetings with the committee of member volunteers
• Providing and developing new ideas and programs in order to grow each ministry
Responsibilities for youth group (6th-12th grades) would include but not limited to:

• Leading Youth group meetings on a regular basis weekly
• Providing pastoral care, leadership, and guidance to individuals in Youth Group
• Leading and training teachers for Youth Bible Studies
• Planning and leading full cycle of Youth retreats
• Preparing and giving sermons to Youth Group as needed
• Planning, organizing, and leading Youth service projects, mission trips, and other special events
• Identifying gifts and talents of Youth individuals and guiding/advocating for each individual in their own spiritual journey and maturity
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Religion, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a youth and/or children’s ministry role
Preferences:
Education Preferred:

• MDiv (Master of Divinity), MAT (MA in Theology) or Master’s degree in education a plus
