ABOUT ARCOLA COVENANT COMMUNITY (ACC)

ACC strives to build a community where the covenant of God is revealed in our active engagement with the world.  Unlike a contract, a covenant is unconditional and cannot be rendered void. This is the very heart of Christ to the Church and ACC’S commitment to our community. Our hope is that each individual is delighted in, each group is committed to, and our community is inspired to partake in, the redemptive work of God everywhere that we are called.

Our Mission: ACC’s mission is to build a Christian community where the covenant of God is revealed in our active engagement with the world.

Our Vision: We will achieve our mission by informing minds, transforming hearts and renewing lives and communities through the gospel.

About ACC:  Arcola Covenant Community (ACC) was formed in 2008 by English-speaking members of Arcola Korean United Methodist Church. We are located in Paramus, NJ and currently have one contemporary worship service on Sundays at 10:00 am as well as mid-week Bible Study and Saturday EMP as well as a monthly mid-week Praise & Prayer Night. Our close-knit community consists of individuals ranging in age from their 20s to 60s who are multi-ethnic but primarily Asian-American and English-speaking. ACC has multiple tight-knit core life stage communities that serve faithfully in a range of life stages, represent a strong professional network and have a broad array of skills and talents that are used for God’s Kingdom.  We also have a strong and talented Praise Team that has been a powerful instrument of praise, prayer and grace during our Sunday worship services. We are active in local outreach, small group ministry, prayer ministry, global missions (pre-COVID), as well as sports, hospitality and fellowship ministries. We have a close and collaborative relationship with Arcola Korean UMC from a resource (i.e., use of facilities) and shared ministry perspective, particularly through our shared Education ministry (Youth Group and Sunday School (including pre-Kindergarten).

ACC is currently a church in transition and welcomes a pastor who can lead with compassion, vision and energy to bring about revival to our community.
