Arise Reformed Church is an independent church plant in Gardena, CA. ARC is the second generation congregation of its’ mother-church, Dae Hueng Korean Presbyterian Church (DKPC). ARC (and DKPC) are part of the Korean American Presbyterian Church (KAPC), and is prayerfully seeking a new senior pastor to lead the flock, and also establish a good relationship with DKPC. This senior pastor is not under the employment of DKPC; it is a truly independent senior pastoral position. However, the new pastor must understand the need for healthy co- habitation with DKPC.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the senior pastor:
1. Preach/preside on Sundays (weekly @ 9:30am & 11:00am).
2. Oversee life groups by equipping and encouraging leaders/volunteers.
3. Lead Friday night prayer groups.
4. Leading associate pastors, deacons, deaconesses, and training future elders.
5. Provide pastoral care and counseling to members through visitation and formal sessions.
6. Equipping and shepherding volunteer groups (welcoming, media, praise team, etc.)
7. Fulfill necessary administrative duties.
EXPECTATIONS:
Our prayer is that ARC would find a candidate who exudes the qualities and fruit of pastoral
ministry in Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7. This candidate must be a man of character and
leadership. The church prays for a pastor of integrity, honesty, holiness and gentleness. The
candidate must hold to, preach and practice Reformed theology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Master of Divinity (MDiv)
-At least 3 years of full-time, senior pastoral ministry experience.
-Fluent in English; Korean preferred.
-Ordained by a Reformed Presbyterian denomination (KAPC, PCA, OPC, etc.).
-Have an orthodox, conservative, and evangelical theology and philosophy of ministry.
PASTORAL COMPENSATION:
-$50-60k/annually (BOE)
-Benefits, vacation, PTO and sick leave.
