Who are we:
We are one of a kind EM in the United States. Why? There are leaders in the KM who really care and consider the well-being of the EM. We are two congregations under one roof but haven’t seen any major issues so far. We have about an average 200 youth/adults worshipping together during Sunday services. We are working towards establishing a foundationally and biblically strong EM staff where there’s preaching, administration, college, youth, and other roles.
Assist the EM pastor in administration
- Oversee all administrative tasks and work with the EM pastor
- Organize, maintain, and update small groups
- Communicate to and with all small group leaders
- Plan and manage EM calendar and seasonal events (i.e., retreats, seminars, etc.)
- Communicate to and with all deacons and ministry leaders (i.e., worship, newcomers, etc.)
- Plan various meetings (i.e., EM leader’s meeting)
- Communicate with KM staff and leaders (when needed)
Oversee the youth ministry
- Communicate with EM pastor on overall direction for youth
- Give overall spiritual care for the youth students (i.e., visiting youth students)
- Give direction to curriculum / study materials
- Equip teachers and leaders to lead in their small groups, Sunday schools, Friday night etc.
- Plan and direct seasonal events (i.e., retreats, lock-in, Mother’s Day, graduation etc.)
- Communicate with youth parents (Being able to speak and understand Korean is preferred, but not required)
Qualifications
- Prior experience with youth and administration
- MDiv degree from accredited seminary; not necessarily SBC
- Fluent in English and understand American culture, awareness and competence in the Korean language and culture preferred
