Han Vision Church is a church of the Southern Baptist Convention established in 2007 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Han Vision’s English Ministry (EM) is looking for a full-time EM Pastor to partner with the existing Youth and Children’s Pastors to shepherd its English-speaking congregation (~60-70 attendees).
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver weekly sermons during Sunday service
Intentionally build community with and among church members, with a focus on everyone college-aged and older. This includes visitations, opening the home, attending various church functions, and attending Sunday service as a family
Train disciplers how to make disciples biblically and actively discipling congregants
Lead Bible studies to deepen biblical knowledge and understanding throughout the EM
Commit to the position full-time
Open personal life for accountability to church leadership and key congregants
Skills & Qualifications
Must pass the qualifications for an overseer as outlined in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4)
Must be the husband of one wife
Masters of Divinity (or equivalent) at an accredited Theological Seminary
At least 3 years experience as an EM Pastor or equivalent position
Must be willing to relocate to the metro Atlanta area (relocation assistance available)
Must agree with the church’s statement of faith
Strong English oral and written communication skills
A Southern Baptist background or education is not required, but the candidate would be asked to observe this denomination’s beliefs about baptism.
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident and permitted for employment in the US.
Must be fluent in English and conversational Korean

Has a deep conviction to be a servant leader, being the “greatest among us” by becoming “servant of all” as Jesus commands in Matthew 23:11
Demonstrates the importance of expository and Gospel-centered preaching from the pulpit
Is willing to participate in the church’s culture of vulnerability (sharing testimonies, confessing sin, inviting church leaders and/or members to share in his burdens)
Exhibits Christ-like humility, considering the needs of others above his own, and looking out for the interests of others (as outlined in Philippians 2)
Is teachable and takes responsibility for his mistakes
Has a deep self-awareness of his own strengths and weaknesses
