Logos Central Chapel (LCC) is an independent English-speaking church comprised mostly of 1.5 – 2nd generation Asian Americans. LCC actively seeks to serve the greater Denver area: across generational and cultural backgrounds. LCC seeks to be obedient to God’s calling for missions locally and globally.
LCC began as part of a Presbyterian Korean Church (KCPC) as a separate English-speaking service. The English-speaking service grew and the need for an independent church primarily focusing on reaching the multi-cultural population of Denver became even more evident. In 2001, with the blessings of KCPC, LCC became a non-denominational new plant church.
In 2011, as LCC grew in congregation size, budget and vision, it joined the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination; as it is a rapidly growing multiethnic denomination and values “the importance of extending God’s love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity”.
One of LCC strengths is its small groups for couples, women and men in which the congregation grows through sharing and fellowship. Small groups are a way for new comers to get connected and serve together as a unified body. Sunday School Children’s ministry and Youth Group continues to grow because the congregation has many young families. LCC has different teams and committees for various ministries: worship, congregational care, outreach, missions, women’s group, new comers, etc. From its beginning, LCC has been active in local outreach and has continually been a strong supporter of global mission.
God has faithfully seen LCC through many transitions. For example, in 2012 and 2013, while LCC operated without a permanent Sr. Pastor, and when many people faced tough economic times, the Church recorded its highest financial giving. This is a testament of God’s provision and evidence of LCC’s trust in Him. The LCC congregation prays that its growth and vision of the Church continues to be aligned to God’s will.
Position: Senior Pastor
The qualified candidate will be a godly man above reproach and possess the Biblical qualities of
I Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
The minimum education requirement is a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from an accredited seminary or divinity school.
Proven leadership is crucial and the qualified candidate will have the:
– ability to build personal relations and relate to individual members of the congregation
– ability to successfully teach and communicate God’s words, including the ability to develop and deliver engaging sermons
– ability to influence individual spiritual growth and motivate others to follow Jesus’ example
– ability promote changes and lead the church through its growth
– ability to effectively engage with the congregation and the Deacon Board
