Maranatha Vision Church (MVC) is located in the San Francisco East Bay area. We are seeking for an Assistant Pastor who would oversee discipleship and mission’s department. Our church seeks to be a prayer community, a revival community, and a missional community that equips all the members to prepare for the return of our Lord. We are looking for a co-worker who will partner with us to equip the saints with the Gospels and fullness of the Holy Spirit.

1. Position: Full-time assistant pastor

2. Requirement:
– Ordained pastor under PCA (Presbyterian Church of America) or graduated/current seminarian with the similar theological background
– Bilingual in Korean and English

3. Duties:
– Oversee the inland and oversees mission
– Life Bible Study in Korean and English (13-week bible study course once or twice per year)
– Preach during weekly evening service (once a week)
– Preside family worship service (once a month)
– Other general work

4. Documents to submit:
– Resume (include family photo)
– Personal background (biblical background, calling for ministry, view on the gifts of the Holy Spirit)
– Statement of faith (who is Jesus to me theologically, how do I walk with the Spirit)
– 2 Sermons (video, recording, or link)
– 2 References (must include the head pastor of previous working church)

– Due date: 4/30/2024 (or until the position is filled)

6. Begin date for ministry:
– September 2024 (can be negotiated)

7. Salary and benefits:
– Commensurate to cost of living with family in California (salary + housing allowance)
– Benefits (Health & dental insurance, term life insurance, monthly cell phone allowance, and laptop allowance)
– If currently in M.Div, tuition allowance
– If necessary, support for the religious visa (R-Visa)

8. Things to consider:
– No returns for the submitted documents
– May require more documentations if necessary
– Submitted documents will only be used for the minister seeking process
– If found guilty of fraud, the process will be nulled and void
