Job Title: Lower Elementary Pastor (Grades Pre-K – 1st Grade)
Classification: Part-Time

Salary Package: Starting at $2000 monthly

Position Overview
We are seeking a Christ-centered, gospel-driven, and nurturing Part-Time Lower Elementary Pastor to shepherd and disciple our youngest covenant children (Pre-K through 1st grade). This role is a vital part of our church’s mission to raise up the next generation in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, in alignment with our Reformed and Presbyterian convictions.

Key Responsibilities
Spiritual Care & Discipleship:

-Teach weekly Sunday School classes and/or Children’s Worship for Pre-K to 1st Grade, grounded in biblical truth and sound Reformed theology.

-Cultivate a loving, joyful, and spiritually formative environment for young children to experience the gospel.

-Pray regularly for and with children and their families.

Ministry Leadership:

-Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and assistants to support children’s ministry programming.

-Collaborate with the broader Education Department ministries to ensure alignment with the church’s discipleship strategy.

-Plan and organize calendar events (e.g., seasonal celebrations, PTA meetings, Summer VBS, etc.) that foster faith formation and community.

Communication & Administration:

-Communicate clearly and regularly with parents to support discipleship in the home.

-Ensure proper safety and check-in procedures for children.

-Participate in regular monthly Education Department meetings.

Qualifications:
-A vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the Westminster Standards.

-A calling and passion to minister to children and families in an urban, multicultural context.

-Experience working with young children, preferably in a church or Christian educational setting.

-Sound knowledge of Reformed theology and a commitment to Presbyterian polity.

-Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

-Seminary training (completed or in progress) at a onfessionally Reformed seminary.
