Interim Teaching Pastor

CHURCH OVERVIEW

Restoration Community Church first opened its doors in September 2010. We are a non-denominational church located in the heart of Naperville, IL. At present, we have approximately 170 people in our congregation, primarily comprised of young families. The vision of our church is to be a “Gospel Community on Mission.” Our church aspires to be a transformative presence in the Naperville area, driven and motivated by a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. As God restores the hearts, minds, and souls of the people in our church, we are aiming to recognize and live out our call to help bring restoration to the lives of those around us.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The Interim Teaching Pastor position is a temporary position (minimum 6 months to one year) that is intended for a seasoned ministry pastor who has a passion to preach and teach the Bible during a time of church transition. Under the direction of the Elder Board and in conjunction with other staff members, the Interim Teaching Pastor will serve as the primary teacher of the Word of God for Sunday worship services. The exact tenure of the Interim Teaching Pastor will be determined by the eventual hire of a Lead Pastor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preach at Sunday worship services approximately 2-3 times per month.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Provide spiritual care for congregants as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Align with RCC’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
  • Possess gifts especially in the area of teaching and preaching.
  • Strong devotional and prayer life.
  • Attitudes and behaviors guided by biblical principles.
  • Ability to be a team player and strong communication skills.
  • Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary or Bible College.
